Utility Bill Assistance

Low Income Assistance Program for Electric Bills

Sponsored by Versant Power, Central Maine Power Company, and Eastern Maine Electric Co-op, this program provides a monthly reduction on electric bills. Benefits vary with utility company plan and household income.

Requirements:
You must be eligible for HEAP to access this program. This application is done at the same time as your HEAP application. See Heating Assistance for details. Please call (207) 610-5914 for information about this program.

Energy Education Electric Bill Credit

Part of the Family Coaching Program, it is available for participants who receive HEAP.  It allows families to work with their coach to complete modules around energy education and financial education.  This qualifies the family to receive monetary credits on their electric bill for each module completed.

You must be eligible for HEAP to access this program. This application is done at the same time as your HEAP application.
